The Latte Grande is known in Italy as "caffè e latte" - which literally means "coffee and milk." If you ordered simply a "latte" in
Italy, you'd get a nice cold glass of milk!
Ingredients
1/2 cup double strength Maniaco di Caffé coffee.
1 cup milk
2 ounces milk for frothing
Ground chocolate, cinnamon or nutmeg (optional)
Instructions;
Pour 1/2 cup double strength coffee into a 12 oz mug or latte bowl.
In a small saucepan, heat the 1 c milk until it's hot, but not boiling.
Pour the hot milk into the coffee mug/bowl
Heat the 2 ounces of milk until hot, but not boiling.
Pour milk into blender and blend at highest speed for about 1 min. - or until frothy.
Gently slide the foam onto the top.
Dust with ground chocolate, cinnamon or nutmeg. Enjoy!
